Year in reflection – A note from Pet Pals Founder, Pet Pal Keli
Pet Pals releases another Bark & Learn to help our community and assist people in living the lives they want while having the loved, well cared for, and well-behaved pets they deserve! Pet Pals Bark & Learn provides FREE community education to help keep pets and kids safe and teaches families how to do just that. As we close out and celebrate 2021, we look back on the year of resilience. Pet Pals' mission to be the premier pet services company proudly serving Sioux Falls and the surrounding area and our core value to give back once again remained strong and consistent throughout 2021. In fact, it was this mission and all of Pet Pals' values that brought us out of 2020 in a position well prepared for this year of toughness and resolve.
With the rise of the Pandemic in 2020, Pet Pals deepened its commitment to community through greater convenience, expanded free community education, and providing even more value in our services. 2021 kept this momentum going as we found new paths together and helped people’s pets transition when they went back to offices, traveled, and more. As a result of Pet Pals’ never ending commitment to our community and people’s commitment to their pet’s well being, I’m proud to announce that Pet Pals business is stronger than ever in 2021. People were resilient in living “their” life-style while having that well behaved, confident, healthy (mentally and physically), and loved pet. And as such, people needed Pet Pals! This is clear in the value and satisfaction feedback received in 2021 and in 2021 being a record breaking year! Thank you to each of our Clients for making that happen and for everyone in the Pet Pals community for their continuous support.
While Pet Pals has remained strong and open throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, not all have been so lucky. As such, and with an already strong track record and commitment to our community and giving back, Pet Pals of course increased giving this year (as it has every year for over 10 years) and pushed it even beyond the previously unsurpassed 2020 levels. Simply being the best for our Clients is not enough, being the best for the Sioux Falls and surrounding area’s Pet Community is a given, and so Pet Pals goes further. We know what people in our community are going through and are there with them. Through losses and gains, happy and sad, we know how our Clients feel, we care, and we are a positive and supportive part of their lives. Pet Pals gave time and money in support of local people and pets through increasing its involvement and year-round giving to fundraisers, non-profits, shelters, schools, direct to families and/or animals in need, and more. Pet Pals expanded it’s free pet education offerings through podcasts, email newsletters, and more.
COVID changed the world, but Pet Pals' mission and values did not. Our resilience shines and Pet Pals remains committed to giving you the freedom to live the life you want while having the loved, cared for, and well-behaved pet(s) you deserve. Pet Pals is the safe option for people and their pets throughout this pandemic. Our Clients get enhanced safety measures, COVID-19 trained, Pet Pals continues serving pets and, in many cases, is the much-needed social interaction for people working from home, not traveling, and/or only going out for essentials. Pet Pals is available for you 24/7 and working countless hours being there when you need for everything from our services, to answering your pet related questions, to letting you in your house when you got locked out, and so much more. For those working from home, Pet Pals gave extra time to talk with and ensure people (not just their pets) were being cared for. Remember that our greatest pride is in Pet Pals being a family business and that for many of our Clients, this Pet Pals business is family!
Beyond resilience in 2021, Pet Pals continues to make changes to give you more, solve your pet related problems, and provide you with greater freedom and the pets you want. We expanded our technology platforms to provide greater convenience and functionality for our Clients including dedicated private online portfolios for our Photography Clients, increased end user control in opting in/out of Pet Pals content, additional content mediums, and more. Pet Pals opened an online store for you and with it, seemingly endless new opportunities to provide convenience and value to our clients; including new ways to offer training videos and self-paced online courses. 2022 hint - watch for this to expand greatly in the coming year giving you even more! Pet Pals brought you new services (such as cat/dog nail trims) and expanded educational materials. For example, have you seen all the chicken content that many are finding entertaining and educational?
In 2021 people were still busy, they lived, worked, and navigated COVID world the best they could and yet, still had the cared for and loved pet(s) that they wanted and deserve. And with Pet Pals in 2021, people had cared for and loved pets in a way that made their lives easier! At Pet Pals, we say, “Your Pet will Thank you!” and surely they do; yet beyond that, Pet Pals thanks you! Thank you for your support. Thank you for the dreams you have, the motivation to see them become reality, and the will to maintain a high quality of life for your pet(s) at the same time. Thank you for not giving up and choosing resilience instead! Thank you for partnering with Pet Pals in our resolve to maintain our mission and values that will always see us through. Thank you for being part of something that is making a positive difference in people’s and pet’s lives. With the hope that you are enjoying the holidays safely with family and friends while still finding time to relax, recharge, and dream; thank you for an energizing 2021!

Beyond continuing to be the best option for Pet Parents that want unsurpassed services, exceeding their needs, and supporting their increasingly complex lifestyles; Pet Pals will continue to give back to our community.
